The Colorado Cross Disability Coalition’s (CCDC) goal is for all disabled Coloradans to be able to lead full lives with equal access to any opportunities available to their non-disabled peers.
In order to achieve their goals, they use multiple strategies including individual and systemic advocacy, education, leadership development, grassroots organizing, voter engagement, and litigation. Key to advancing our mission is the work they do with individuals, service providers, businesses, community organizations, and within all three branches of Colorado’s government.

Connections is a Center for Independent Living, a place where people who live with disabling conditions, and those who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, come together to challenge barriers, become empowered, and live with greater independence. It is their mission to enrich the communities they serve with the self-determination, productivity, and leadership of every citizen.

Dial-A-Ride provides door-to-door paratransit service designed to provide transportation for individuals, who because of a disability, are prevented from using the Transfort fixed route system. To use Dial-A-Ride service, customers must complete an eligibility application and receive certification from Transfort’s Dial-A-Ride program.

DRS is a community-based independent living and disability support center. Through the philosophy of consumer control, DRS empowers individuals with disabilities to achieve self-determined goals that result in attaining their maximum level of independence at home and in the community. Most services are free of charge.

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is a federal program that supports individuals with disabilities succeed at work and live independently. They offer services such as one-on-one vocational rehabilitation counseling and guidance, physical and mental restoration services, and job-related services, including, job-seeking searching resources, job placement, and job coaching.

Ensight Skills Center and Curtis Strong Center are low vision specialists providing accredited, professional low-vision services to enhance the lives of you and your loved ones who are struggling with vision loss. We provide the low vision assessments, education, training, tools, and support you need to live independently with low vision.
Adaptive Recreation Opportunities (ARO) provides quality and equal opportunities for recreation and leisure programs to community members with disabilities. The ARO program offers healthy and fun experiences through three basic service areas: transition services, access support, and specialized programs. ARO services strive to foster independence for the individuals we serve within their recreation experiences.
