Welcome!

As a land grant university, Colorado State is dedicated to access for all. There are many services and resources, as well as a Web Accessibility Policy to promote equal access to resources found through the internet.

The resources are divided into three main categories. There are student resources and services for those with disabilities, staff and faculty resources for those with disabilities, and accessible web design resources.

Accommodations, Resources & Services…for students with disabilities:

See Resources for Students, for more information about what's available at CSU for students with disabilities. Many types of support are offered to all students at CSU, and some are specifically for students with disabilities. Universal Design for learning (UDL) is also becoming part of the campus community. To understand more about UDL, visit the AccessProject website, or view the thirteen minute video:

Best Practices through Universal Design for Learning.

Web Accessibility Policy & Resources

In web design, accessibility is a measure of how easy it is to access, read, and understand the content of a web site.

Websites are information-rich resources that should not exclude anyone. CSU's Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC) approved the CSU Web Accessibility Policy on October 29, 2004.

The use of World Wide Web Consortium (W3.org) Standards, validation, and accessibility checking during web page creation, greatly helps web pages to be understood well by many, no matter if they use assistive technology or standard computing access.

No-one intends to make their sites difficult to use, but designers and writers need to plan for accessibility.

The Web Accessibility Policy, CSU Web Standards, training and other support materials are found through Web Accessibility Policy & Resources.
